In-Processing
Animals must be registered at the Veterinary Clinic within 10 days of arrival to base.
No appointment is necessary.
Please stop the clinic within regular business hours to drop off animal records.
This includes current Rabies Certificates,
and any prior vaccination and medical history. You will also need to sign a policy and procedure to complete your in-processing.
WARNING:
DO NOT PET OR TOUCH THE STRAY ANIMALS ON BASE. THEY ARE NOT VACCINATED AND IF
THEY BITE YOU, THEY WILL HAVE TO BE EUTHANIZED!
Also, it is very important to not purchase animals off base from pet shops. Most of these animals are too sick to
be saved, and your money will not be returned to you if the animal passes away.
Out-Processing
Health Certificates are needed for pet travel.
Health Certificates expire within 10 days. For example if you leave on the
10th of December, you should get the Health Certificate around the 3rd or 8th of the same month to assure that the
certificate does not expire in route to your new location. All animals should be current on Rabies vaccinations to
receive a health certificate, and rabies vaccinations cannot be received 30 days PRIOR to flight. PCSing with a Pet Info
For the military member to be signed out of Virtual Out-Processing a Health Certificate is required to be in hand
before we can sign you out. If you have adopted out your animals you will need a completed transfer of ownership
sheet before we can sign you out. Not doing this can delay your departure date.
Additional Information
It is the responsibility of the pet owners to keep track of your pet's prior vaccination history and to be aware of when current vaccinations are due. We do not send out reminders, but are more than willing to look up your information if you call.
