Here are the guidelines to making the trip with your pets easier....

1.  The animal will need a current health certificate and rabies vaccination certificate.
2.  You must advise the Military Personnel Flight and Traffic Management Office of your plans to ship a pet.
3.  Pets travel as excess baggage and incur an extra charge for shipping, presently costing $85 if the pet is under 70 pounds-- for those weighing over 70 pounds the cost doubles.
4.  Pet owners pay at the port of departure.
5.  Pets must travel in a commercially approved pet kennels.  It is best to call the airline that you are traveling on and
confirm the information.
6.  You are required to register your pet with the Veterinary Treatment Facility within seven days of your arrival. 
7.  There are pet rooms available in Lodging.  Please call prior to departure to make arrangements for your pet.
8.  Kittens and puppies three months of age or older should be vaccinated for rabies and distemper, then revaccinated annually.  Rabies tag and rabies vaccination certificate will be given to you at the time of vaccination.  Attach the tag to the pet's collar as soon as you get it.  Your pet must wear the rabies tag whenever it outdoors on base.

INPROCCESSING YOUR PETS 

1. All animals are to be registered at the Veterinary Treatment Facility within 14 days of arrival to Incirlik AB. 
2.  Please bring the following to Building 922:
    a.  Proof of current rabies vaccination.           
  b.  Proof of Avid or Home Again microchip. 
3.  All animals without a current rabies vaccination or microchip will require an appointment by calling 6-3119.
4.  Inproccessing consists of:
a.  Filling out an Animal Data Sheet
                          b.  Reading and signing the Treatment Policies Sheet
c.  Receiving an Incirlik Rabies tag 

EVACUATION OF YOUR PETS 
In the situation that personnel must evacuate the base without their pets, the following steps should be taken.

1.  Report to Building 922 with the following items:
a.  Airline-approved carrier (1 animal per carrier)
b.  Two days worth of food                            
c.  Cat litter (if applicable)                               
d.  Water and food bowls                               
             e.  Any medications that the animal is currently taking 

2.  Fill out a NEO-Animal Release Form 

3.  Retain rabies certificate with Avid microchip number for claiming animal 

Special Note:  Children under the age of 18 will not be permitted to turn-in pets for evacuation.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
Turkish law prohibits the importation and/or ownership of Tosa Inus, Staffordshire Terriers, Bull-Terriers, American
Bull- Terriers, and Pit-Bulls. Owners of any such pet PCSing into Incirlik will be ordered to immediately export the pet(s)
out of Turkey. Cost of exportation will be borne by the owner.
